1. Scope and controller
This policy applies to KitchenEdgeVault, the bangnetgal.com website and related support communications. Bang Technology Limited is responsible for the processing described here. App Store privacy disclosures are a summary; this policy provides additional context.
2. Information we may process
Content you choose to add
KitchenEdgeVault may process knife and tool records, maintenance notes, optional photos, optional voice notes, reminder settings, comparison selections and exported reports. Most working records are designed to remain on your device unless you deliberately export, back up, restore or send them.
Identifiers and purchase information
The app may process device or app identifiers needed for functionality, fraud prevention, attribution or the delivery of optional features. Purchases are completed through Apple. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
Support and technical information
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include. Limited device, app version, crash or diagnostic information may be processed when needed to maintain reliability.
Website information
Our hosting provider may process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, time and security events. See our Cookie Policy.
3. Why we use information
- Provide app features, save and display records, and complete user-requested exports.
- Deliver optional reminders and restore user-selected backups.
- Validate optional in-app purchases and protect the service from misuse.
- Respond to support requests and diagnose technical problems.
- Maintain security, comply with law and enforce our terms.
4. Service providers and sharing
We may use vendors for app distribution and payments, hosting, diagnostics, customer support or notification delivery. They may process limited information only for the service they provide. Apple independently processes App Store downloads and purchases under Apple’s terms. We do not sell the content of your knife-care records. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Storage and retention
Device-local records remain until you delete them, clear app data or remove the app, subject to iOS backup behaviour. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep necessary business records and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
6. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.
7. Your choices and rights
You can manage photos, microphone and notification permissions in iOS Settings; delete individual records or use the app’s clear-data option; and request help through our Data Deletion Guide. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, or complain to a regulator.
8. Children
KitchenEdgeVault is intended for adults managing kitchen tools and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the product or law changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
10. Contact
Privacy questions may be sent to bangnetgal@bangnetgal.com. Controller: Bang Technology Limited. Website: bangnetgal.com.
11. Feature-by-feature data use
- Tool library and timelines: process tool name, type, condition, check time, maintenance method and notes to display history and progress.
- Photos and comparisons: process content only when you select or capture it, for records, comparisons and requested exports.
- Voice notes: process audio only when you choose to record it as supporting information for a maintenance entry.
- Reminders: use the interval and time you select and the iOS notification permission to deliver optional local reminders.
- Backup and import: create a file containing relevant local records at your direction, or restore information from a file you choose.
- Reports and Coins: process records needed for a requested report and transaction status needed to validate optional consumable purchases.
12. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of the service agreement, steps you request, security and other legitimate interests, compliance with law, or consent where appropriate. Photo, microphone and notification access is chosen through iOS and can be withdrawn in system settings.
13. Categories of third-party provider
Providers may include Apple for app distribution and StoreKit purchases, website hosting and content delivery, security and diagnostics, and email services. Each provider receives only information reasonably needed for its function and operates under its own terms and privacy obligations.
14. Data minimisation and accuracy
We seek to process only information needed for a defined feature. Photos and voice notes are optional, and local records can be edited or deleted by you. Keep tool details accurate and avoid entering sensitive personal information unrelated to knife maintenance in free-text notes.
15. Security measures
Depending on the information, we use reasonable access controls, transmission protection, permission limits and provider management. You should also protect your device passcode, Apple Account and exported backups, and choose a secure backup location. No internet or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
16. Rights-request process
For access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection requests, contact us from the email connected with the relevant interaction and identify the request. We may verify identity and scope. We normally respond within the period required by applicable law; a lawful extension may apply to complex or numerous requests, with an explanation.
17. California and other regional notices
Where applicable, you may have rights to know the categories of information processed, request deletion or correction, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell the knife-maintenance records stored in KitchenEdgeVault. Apple privacy-label references to identifiers or tracking should be read together with the system services actually used and this policy.
